Why using a truck mounted tree spade results in higher survival rates:

- A larger root ball is taken when transplanting a tree. For example, a 2-½ inch caliper tree at a garden centre would normally weigh approximately 350 lbs. Planting the same tree with a truck mounted tree spade increases the weight to more than 1200 lbs. As a result, more roots stay with the transplanted tree.

- Less Stress. The tree is removed from the ground at the tree farm and planted at the new location on the same day.

- When access is not a problem, transplanting a tree with a truck mounted tree spade is a very clean and economical procedure.

- Most trees can be dug throughout the summer.
